NAHB (5) The National Association of Homebuilders, home page. One of the largest and best trade organizations in the country, NAHB serves over 100,000 home builders and associate members (suppliers and sub- contractors) and has information on home building, apartment building, land development, and much, much more.
Remodeling (3.5) A site that offers some help for remodeling contractors, and those looking for someone to do remodeling for them. There is a search engine on the site to locate remodeling contractors, by zip code and by state (and then city). While the search doesn't show everyone qualified to do remodeling in a particular area, it does offer a few names of good contractors and this might be a help to some people.
Builder Magazine, On Line (4.0) This link goes to a building trade magazine called "Builder". This site offers lots of possibilities and is being improved as the months go by.
Wood Floors (3.6) Offers some answers to questions about wood flooring.
Countrywide Mortgage (4.5) This is a well organized site by Countrywide Mortgage company. It offers an on-line mortgage calculator, on-line insurance quotes and many other things related to home purchase. Could be helpful for those shopping for a home & home mortgage.

New Home Search. This is a new concept, they hope to have 150,000 listings up and working soon, covering the whole USA. This appears to be an excellent site for finding new homes for sale.

Traditional Building Magazine (4) A very complete site featuring links to 103 companies that can supply materials to fix up old homes -- or create new places with old charm. Many highly original "hard to find" building materials and fixtures.

Artistic Metal Work (2) The site of a famous metal worker. Balcony rails and ballusters, and other things.

I'on Village A new planned community in South Carolina at Mount Pleasant. Developed by Vince Graham, and his talented team (founders of New Point in Beaufort). This promises to be one of the most significent "New Traditional Communities" ever built, and is attracting US wide interest. A mixed use project, a true community, that encourages walking and places appropriate public facilities (ball fields, churches, neighborhood shopping) in walking distance.
